GOLF TOURNAMENT "ALEPIN ET AMIS" 2009

On July 10th, the Alepin Gauthier law firm held its 24th annual golf tournament, always under the "Just for fun" principal theme. This year, to respect 2009 theme which was visual arts, some artists were invited to present their paintings.

The golfers enjoyed a beautiful sunny day filled with different activities. The participants savoured delicious home-made hot dogs (Les délices de l'artisan), some mini burgers (Pub City), sautéed shrimps (Pub City), a chocolate-porto (BDC), a wine and cheese tasting (Vignoble Rivière du Chêne and La fromagerie du Vieux St-François), some fruits and a variety of candies.

After, in the evening, eleven artists from Quebec joined the event by exposing their art, totalizing an amount of more or less 40 paintings. The goal of this exposition was to encourage the Quebec art scene and also to raise funds for the Foundation for spinal cord research. In order to reach these goals, a silent auction was held.

Thus, during the dinner, the artists presented their paintings and for each piece of art sold, 70% of the price went to the artist and 30% went to the Foundation for spinal cord research. Alepin Gauthier remitted a cheque in the amount of $4861, 50 to the Foundation.
